Indigestion (
acid indigestion) originate due to problems with either your
digestive system or your consumption. In either case, the digistive system is where it all happens, in regard to making food “work,” that is. The digestive system begins in the mouth where food first begins to break down with the processes of chewing, the release of digestive enzymes that split starches, and then swallowing.

From there, food nutrients are used by the entire body as they enter the bloodstream to feed cells. As food nutrients go down through the esophagus, into the stomach, through the intestines and eventually out through elimination, it is broken down, used up, stored and eliminated.
Adjunctive Nutritional Schedule* Digestive Enzymes: 1 tablet per meal
* Vitamin B Food: 6 tablets per day
* Whole Calcium Supplement: 6 tablets per day
For liver support:* Liver Support: 4 tablets per day
Various types of enzymes make the nutrients within foods available for use by the body for health, healing, disease prevention, immune system enhancement, production of energy, functioning of the heart, organs and nerves and even for digestion itself by keeping the entire digestive tract healthy. Enzymes are particles that are used to break foods into simpler substances, and there are different types of enzymes to handle different types of foods. There are enzymes that work on fats (such as bile, lipase), ones that work on carbohydrates (ptyalin, amylase) and ones that work on proteins (hydrochloric acid, protease).
For sure, foods are much more nutritious when the digestive system is functioning optimally and when digestive enzymes are at work. This is a commonly overlooked fact, but unless you have good digestion, you can eat a lot of good food without many health benefits. If enzymes can’t break down meats, for example, you can’t get the benefits of their amino acids and proteins. If you don’t have a well functioning digestive system, you can eat foods rich in iron and still end up with iron-deficiency. Or if your digestive system doesn’t work efficiently, eating dairy foods, for example, can wind up giving you chronic sinus problems or intestinal cramps.
Many people suffer with digestive problems merely because they eat foods that are not really foods (they are not natural). Such foods include foods that are processed, refined or full of artificial, dead ingredients. Or, digestive problems may occur because people are eating the wrong kinds of foods for their systems. This can cause lactose intolerance, excessive gas, bloating, belching, allergies, weight gain, weight loss, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, or nausea. Natural foods are those grown in nature (like fruits, nuts, seeds, grains, vegetables and meats) whereas unnatural ones that cause problems such as packaged foods, fried foods, fake fats, margarine, and foods full of manmade chemicals. Eating the right foods is important for not only digestion, but overall health and healing and prevention as well. (See

If You Can’t Pronounce It, Don’t Eat It )
Minerals are very important for digestion (see Alkaline Food and Super Greens Food) as well as the vitamin B complex (needed to produce hydrochloric acid in the stomach and keep the intestinal walls contracting (see Vitamin B Food). Calcium is also needed for proper enzyme production, as well as healing ulcers and other damaged tissues along the digestive tract (see Whole Calcium Supplement).
