Millions of people from many cultures suffer from
Gall bladder problems and
Gall stones. Most individuals aren't even aware they have a gall bladder problem until they are diagnosed or realize they have gall stones.
Over the last few decades, the medical community has gone wild in their pursuit of the gall bladder operation. But don’t we need our gall bladders? Of course we do. The gall bladder carries out some very important functions, chief of which is to aid digestion by breaking down fats.
There are a number of doctors who feel that the high incidences of gall bladder removal surgeries are unnecessary even though it is now very common for doctors to perform the procedure. The biggest problem with gall bladders is that they form stones. If there are so many of these stones, or they get big enough, they can block the flow of bile (a fat-splitting enzyme). When a gall stone gets lodged, blocking the gall bladder’s exit, pain ensues. The pain, under your right ribcage, can cause pain all the way around your back as well.

Gall Stone FlushThere’s a bit of controversy as to the effectiveness of what has been called the “Gall bladder flush.” Basically, this program, which is found on many sites on the Internet, advises the use of apple juice, lemon juice and olive oil to dissolve stones, open the Gall bladder and flush them out. Whether this works or not is up for debate, because some experts claim that what comes out as little Gall stones are merely balls of “soap” which are created by the body from the olive oil. Other doctors say that stones really come out and the Gall bladder is restored to health. As reported by Dr. Joseph Mercola, mercola.com, “The Lancet recently reported the use of one quart of pure apple juice for one week. After one full week of the apple juice one cup of olive oil was used just before going to bed. The person was instructed to lay on their left side during the night. A high dose of magnesium can be used to facilitate the removal of the stones. Lancet December 18/25, 1999 354:2171”

Tim Cowan, MD, says of gall bladder problems (westonaprice.org), “First, do not believe that your gall bladder is diseased! Second, give your body what it needs, in this case more cholesterol. Once your body is convinced that you are serious and will provide it with a steady stream of cholesterol, which it desperately needs to stay alive, it will give up the flawed strategy of storing extra, the stones will dissolve and you will be well again. I know of two people who adopted this strategy, and within a year their stones completely dissolved. Actually, you might want to thank your gall bladder for devising such an innovative strategy for keeping you alive until you learned how to eat in a way that provides your body with the materials it needs to be healthy.”
While it seems that feeding yourself animal fat is contrary to other sources, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, animal fats are ingested at the end of a treatment with a Chinese herb that dissolves stones and opens the gallbladder. In any case, it seems that the gall bladder is irritated from a diet of processed foods, refined sugars, fried foods, bad fats and oils and too few nutrients in the diet.
Common CaseGentleman in his mid 70s suffered severe intestinal and stomach pains that required checking into the hospital. After CAT scans, oral endoscopy, and other tests it was found that there was a fatty blockage in his intestine. This is what can happen when there is no gall bladder accompanied by poor diet and nutrition supplements to assist in the breakdown of poor quality fats that are consumed.
Digestive enzymes are very important in conjunction with proper diet to ensure that inappropriate fats do not become a threat to health.
