Chocolate and date flapjack
Gluten free chocolate flapjack made with oats, dates, and dark chocolate. Soft in the middle, slightly crisp on the edges, and topped with melted chocolate and freeze dried raspberries. Easy to make, no refined sugar, and designed to support steady energy without the usual crashes.
Why this recipe works
Balanced texture: oats + chia + almonds give soft, chewy bars that hold together properly
Not overly sweet: reduced dates + dark chocolate keep it more balanced
Fat + fibre combo: helps keep energy steady and reduces cravings later
Short bake time: keeps the centre soft instead of dry
Crunch + contrast: almonds + raspberries stop it feeling heavy
